I'm having a bit of trouble logging into Fanfiction.net. I was trying to respond to a few reviews and it wouldn't let log in. I'm gonna wait til tomorrow and try again. Hopefully I'll be able to respond to reviews and post the next chapter then.
At the risk of leaving us (your readers) mired in interludes forever... I kind of like them.
I tell you this after going back and reading the whole thing (at serious risk to my German grade) and looking at them again in the context of your whole work.
Here's what I think I like about them: When you have a regular chapter you tend to write it, not exactly from third person omniscient, but close... you sort of flit from character to character and toss out a few lines of each person's in-the-moment outlook on things. And I'm not saying that's necessarily bad- we get a lot of funny moments that way, one of the things I love about this fic- but when you're writing the interludes, I see a lot more of the characters as a whole; who they are and how they process their life. I was reading Kakashi's, Sanzo's, and Anko's; and with each one I was having an "aha" moment as what I saw as their characters finally clicked.
I love the way you see all the people in this universe- I think it's what enables you to have those funny moments, and for your "minor" (less-seen-in-the-anime) characters to fall flat (also true for your OCs's). But I actually never see the DEPTH of that characterizations outside of the interludes. I didn't really understand Sanzo before his interlude with Hokage. But now I absolutely love him- he's one of my favorite people in your creations. Because I actually understand what and how he's thinking now. Ditto for Anko and Kakashi, whom I already liked. Even if we go back to regular chapters, I like this style of narration more. Just throwing that out there.
still no luck?

(And for the record, I love your TenTen. <3 )
Sorry, vis-a-vis line two of the last paragraph, I meant "NOT fall flat".

Actually, just sorry for that whole last paragraph; basic grammar was failing me. X-D
