You guys are confusing me. That's the only way I can come up with to explain my reaction to Juniper's reviews lately. Every time I think I've managed to explain something, another reviewer comes along and manages to confuse me again.
With all the other fics I've written people seem to get that this is fanfiction and when I change canon they don't get particularly...contentious (?) about it. It should be obvious simply by the fact that I went all the way back to Chapter 1 to let Juniper jump off that things are different from canon.
I think part of the problem is that I update slowly. It means I know what's coming and I work towards it when writing and in the meantime you people are just reading the updates as they come but I can't really change that.
So instead I'm going to ignore reviews for a while. I'll probably wind up with even more confused readers but at least this way it won't make me write, rewrite, and re-rewrite every chapter.
